After breakfast, we leave the coastal charm of Asilah behind and head toward Tangier, often called “the Bride of the North.” Nestled where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic at Cape Spartel, Tangier offers a striking blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage. You'll explore the city’s highlights, including the legendary Cave of Hercules and the dramatic cliffs of Cape Spartel.

As the day winds down, we head to the cultural heart of Morocco, Fes where you’ll settle in for the night in a traditional riad.

Later, we step into the Mellah, the old Jewish quarter, offering a different layer of the city's diverse past. In the afternoon, we head to an ancient fortress for a sweeping panoramic view over the rooftops of Fes, before returning to your peaceful riad for a restful evening.

After breakfast, our adventure continues south through the scenic town of Imouzzer to the charming city of Ifrane nicknamed the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its cool climate, snowfall, and alpine-style architecture. From there, we make our way to the cedar forests, home to the playful Barbary macaques feel free to feed them as you enjoy a peaceful walk among the towering trees. 

We then head to Midelt for a relaxing lunch break before driving through the dramatic Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and the lush Ziz Valley, with plenty of panoramic stops along the way. By late afternoon, we arrive in the golden dunes of Merzouga, where camels await to take you deep into the Sahara. Day eight of your 13-day Morocco adventure is dedicated to discovering the hidden treasures of the Merzouga region, known for its stunning sand dunes, ancient mines, fossil sites, palm groves, oases, and even a wild lake. We begin with an off-road drive to visit an old kohl (eyeliner) mine, followed by a heartwarming stop to meet a nomadic Berber family in their handwoven tent and share a traditional cup of tea.
