We’ll pick you up from your hotel, the airport, or the harbor to begin your unforgettable 4 day journey from Tangier to Marrakech. Our adventure starts as we drive through the breathtaking Rif Mountains, passing the charming city of Tetouan and heading toward one of Morocco’s most iconic gems the magical blue town of Chefchaouen.

Once there, you'll have free time to wander the town’s narrow, winding streets, where every corner is dipped in hues of blue and white, creating postcard perfect photo opportunities. Explore the peaceful old medina, and don’t miss Ras El Ma, the spot where pure mountain spring water flows gently into the town, creating a serene and refreshing stop. 

When hunger strikes, enjoy a mouthwatering lunch at a cozy local restaurant in Plaza Uta el Hammam, the bustling heart of the town. In the afternoon, after soaking up the charm of Chefchaouen, we’ll continue our drive toward Fes, passing rolling green hills and scenic landscapes that showcase the lush beauty of northern Morocco.

After enjoying breakfast at your hotel in Fes, your adventure kicks off at 8:30 a.m. as a friendly driver from Sahara Camel Trips picks you up for a breathtaking journey to Merzouga. This scenic drive takes you through the heart of the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing charming Berber villages and changing landscapes. 

First, we’ll stop in Ifrane, famously nicknamed the “Moroccan Switzerland” for its alpine architecture and fresh mountain air. Then it’s off to Azrou, where you’ll stroll through a cedar forest known for its wild monkeys perfect for a fun photo break.

We’ll continue toward Midelt, a peaceful town nestled between mountains where you’ll enjoy a relaxing lunch. In the afternoon, we’ll journey through the scenic Ziz Valley, pausing at a breathtaking viewpoint to admire the sweeping palm groves below. From there, we continue to Erfoud, a town renowned for its rich fossil heritage and vibrant date festival held each year.

Start your day early in the desert it’s absolutely worth waking up to catch the golden sunrise over the dunes, a peaceful and magical moment you won’t forget. After basking in the soft glow of the morning light, you’ll savor a hearty breakfast and unwind with a refreshing shower at the desert camp. Then it’s time to return to Merzouga, either by camel ride or 4WD, where your driver will be waiting to continue your 4 day Tangier desert tour.

If it’s market day (Sunday, Tuesday, or Thursday), you’ll stop at the traditional souk in Rissani, a lively local market that offers a true taste of desert life. From there, the road takes us through small Berber villages like Touroug and Tinjdad, before reaching Tinghir, home to the lush and scenic Todra Valley, where endless palm groves stretch into the horizon.

Soon after, you’ll arrive at the towering Todra Gorge, nestled at the foot of the High Atlas Mountains a paradise for rock climbers and nature lovers alike. Take some time to wander through the dramatic canyon, feel the cool breeze between the cliffs, and snap unforgettable photos. After a lunch break.

After a delicious breakfast at your hotel, the final leg of your journey begins as we head toward Marrakech, taking in the ever changing beauty of southern Morocco. Our route takes us through Kalaat M’Gouna, the heart of the fragrant Rose Valley, and through the lush Skoura palm groves a true oasis in the desert. 

In Ouarzazate, famously known as the "Hollywood of Africa," you’ll have the chance to visit the renowned Atlas Film Studios and explore the historic Taourirt Kasbah, a former royal residence steeped in cinematic and cultural heritage. From there, we continue to the iconic Ait Benhaddou, a fortified village recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1986. 

This spectacular site has been the backdrop for many famous films including Gladiator, The Mummy, Jewel of the Nile, and Sahara with Penélope Cruz. You’ll have free time to wander its earthen alleys and enjoy lunch with a view. Our adventure then takes us across the High Atlas Mountains, driving the winding road through Tizi N’Tichka Pass the highest paved mountain pass in Morocco at 2260 meters.
