Take a short stroll through its charming streets before we continue toward the vast cedar forests near Azrou, where playful Barbary monkeys roam freely in their natural habitat. As we drive deeper into the mountains, the road winds through remote Berber villages like Timhdit, Zaida, and Midelt, each offering a glimpse into the traditional way of life. 

Crossing the dramatic High Atlas range, we descend toward Errachidia, where a lush valley of palm trees bursts into view, forming a fertile oasis that thrives with fruit trees and vegetables thanks to its unique microclimate. After a hearty breakfast, we set off on a journey to Rissani, once the grand city of Sijilmassa and a major hub for ancient caravans that crossed the Sahara from From Timbuktu to Marrakech, caravans once journeyed across the Sahara, exchanging valuable goods such as salt and gold. 

Strolling through its souk the largest in the region you’ll feel echoes of its rich past. We then travel through vast semi desert landscapes, where earthy tones stretch endlessly, until we reach the lush oasis of Tinghir, one of Morocco’s hidden gems.

Our path leads us to the breathtaking Todra Gorges, where towering canyon walls soar up to 300 meters, making it a paradise for climbers and nature lovers alike. After a scenic lunch, we head toward the dramatic Dades Valley and pass through the fragrant city of roses Kelaat M’Gouna. 

If you’re curious, we’ll pause to explore a local cooperative where precious rose products are made from the famed Damaskina flower. Continuing along the legendary “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs,” we arrive in Ouarzazate, the cinematic heart of Morocco.
